I’m 100% sure he’s ripped the shape of this flying car from Star Wars. Yes, Boba’s ship looks like it might become a reality if Klissarov Design has their say.
The innovative French design studio has unveiled a super futuristic aircraft concept tailored specifically for the maritime realm. Dubbed "Acro," this remarkably lightweight craft is engineered to ferry a single seafarer to and from motherships or coastal ports, while also venturing into the uncharted territories beyond the waves.
Cycloidal rotor technology (like what we’ve seen with the Cyclorotor (who got the patent??), the propulsion system of Acro offers the remarkable capability of complete 360-degree thrust vectoring. This groundbreaking feature ensures unparalleled maneuverability and stability for the eVTOL, allowing it to accomplish the seemingly impossible, including precision landings on yachts even amidst the most formidable maritime conditions.
The craft's unique compact design eliminates the need for a conventional helipad during landings, as it can gracefully touch down on any standard deck, transforming any vessel into a potential launch and landing platform.
This is just a cool concept afterall, but it’s nice to see the rotor technology being used in other design ideas - perhaps hand-held blender has a future.
