Here’s a funky idea. Take an evtol, mount it on a car. The car acts as the landing pad and external power source. Drive around whereever, take off whereever. True freedom….
Now add in the autonomous stuff and this is a triple threat. This is the GOVE, “GAC’s on-the-go, vertical-flight, electric vehicle.”
This could potentially create an opportunity for some interesting add-ons for this vehicle. Perhaps a camper version?
You can pilot the road car, while flying - and tell it to go charge itself. This opens up a lot of possibilities. Could you land on other owner’s chassis? This could lead to potentially wacky UBERing.
Details about range, power, and availability aren’t really available other than a quote from Nikkei that putting the GOVE into production and getting it into customers’ hands would “probably take a long time.”
This may be the last time you hear about the GOVE for quite awhile, so let it soak in. Dream of a world where you can drive, fly, and control all from the air, while not really doing anything at all.
