Here’s a really impressive flying car that seems to have gone on the backburner for unknown reasons. They were making waves a few years ago, but now, dead silence. The last video was posted on their YouTube channel a year ago, and no news updates since 2022.
It’s kind of sad - with such potential and a really cool design, to see this one hitting a brick wall.
The AirCar could have been truly a marvel of engineering, combining the thrill of flight with the practicality of driving. Its design was a symphony of aerodynamics and efficiency. The fuselage is not just sleek; it's spacious enough to comfortably fit passengers, enhancing the vehicle's lift characteristics when it takes to the skies.
The AirCar design boasts advanced features like retractable wings and folding tail surfaces, elements that are pivotal for maintaining stability and ensuring smooth takeoffs, much like a conventional aircraft. In car mode, the retracted tail transforms the vehicle into a compact size, perfect for navigating city streets and fitting into regular parking spaces.
KleinVision’s Dev Team
The team consisted of experts who joined the project to work on prototypes AeroMobil 2, AeroMobil 3 and the AirCar. They represent a core development team of highly skilled specialists with many years of combined experiences building flying cars from initial idea to its final implementation.
Safety features like the parachute deployment system, marry innovation with security (we’ve seen it before, but it is great). The folding tail surfaces do more than just enhance the driving experience; they contribute significantly to the vehicle's aerodynamic stability, both in the air and on the road.
Now I could be wrong, but I can’t find any new info anywhere (LinkedIn, X, their website, etc) about this one. So if you’ve got some hot tips about KleinVision let me know! Seems like they were ahead of their time - possibly too far ahead of their time!
I’ll leave the link just in case: https://www.klein-vision.com/company
