Archer’s Midnight prototype gets in the air
So the cool looking Halo-style Midnight prototype is finally in the sky - US-based aircraft manufacturer Archer Aviation has done its thing.
Even though it was a tethered flight - it proved to be a success and there will be more and more testing. And then some more testing.
It is looking like in 2024, Archer will look to the FAA for certification of this eVTOL air taxi. (Sorry folks this one doesn’t look like a flying car)
Still, we’re excited about these cool looking vehicles and more options for flying. Archer’s founder and CEO Adam Goldstein said AA is on track to give the consumer market a run in 2 years.

Xpeng’s gettin’ all crazy with far out ideas
Everytime I take a look at Xpeng, it looks like they’ve jumped 10 years further into the future with their wacky concepts.

Ehang makes friends
Can China and Japan be friends? Chinese company EHang is partnering with Air X in Japan to begin commercialization on the EH216 – an autonomous aerial vehicle.
Ehang has been around, and has already had many flights on its proverbial belt. It aims to make the EH216 truly autonomous, making it for better (hopefully) flight safety, efficiency, and comfort. Just hop in, let it do the rest for you and just enjoy the view. Even the flight paths are pre-programmed!
